Coaching Support

The reconfiguration of the public services is creating a whole range of challenges for those in leadership positions. Working in partnership with a skilled coach can enable individuals to take a proactive and positive role that will benefit their organisations as well as themselves.

Coaching is a powerful process for supporting and enabling an individual to explore and resolve issues that are importantto them. The context for coaching is that the individual has the desire to change something. The role of the coach is to provide a structure to support and to challenge the individual in working on their key issues.

Coaching can be critical in enabling and supporting people both to build on their strengths as well as to realise their potential. This is not about a ‘quick fix’. The coaching relationship is a challenging one – but ultimately it can be very rewarding for both parties. The impact of coaching is long- lasting as it is centred on what is important to the individual, i.e. on those things that are going to make the biggest difference to them and to their performance in a role.

Our approach to coaching presumes that the prime focus is on the person being coached within their current, or perhaps future work role. Our experience and expertise enables us to draw on a range of models and approaches to learning and development, adapted to suit their needs. Each coaching relationship is tailored to the individual clients requirements and will often include a personality profiling tool to further develop self awareness.

We are often commissioned to work with an individual client where a typical contract is for 4-8 meetings of 2 hours duration, away from the individuals workplace, spread over a 4-12 month period.
